Cersei Lannister was married to King Robert Baratheon. She was known as Queen Cersei. Her father is Lord Tywin Lannister of Casterly Rock, head of the House of Lannister, known as the richest man in the Seven Kingdoms and Lord Paramount of the Westerlands. Cersei has a twin brother – Jaime Lannister and a younger brother Tyrion Lannister. Her father Lord Tyrion and Cersei hate Tyrion’s guts because their mother died giving birth to him and he’s also an imp. They resent his existence and take every chance to make hateful comments to him and try to get him killed. Cersei and Jaime have an incestuous relationship which continues even after she is married to King Robert. Cersei has three children that all are fair skin and blond hair which is believed to be conceived from a result of their incestuous relationship. The children’s’ names are Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen. Cersei is a dominant character in all Game of Thrones seasons.
Cersei is willful, bold, cold, cunning, dominant, always want to get what she wants, will never back down, impatient, impulsive, irrational and manipulative. She rules through fear and looks down on other who are not on the same royal status as her.
King Robert and Queen Cersei visit Winterfell. Many things happen including asking Ned Stark to become Hand of the King. Another important scene is when Bran Stark, who loves to climb things, accidentally comes across Cersei and her brother engaged in sexual intercourse. Cersei panics and tells Jaime he has to do something. Jaime grabs onto the boy, asks him how old he is and pushes Bran out the window.
Ned Stark find outs about Cersei’s relationship with her brother and threatens to tell the King. While the King was out on a hunting trip, he is mortally wounded. Queen Cersei is concerned that Ned Stark will reveal the truth but Ned chooses to spare his friend more pain.
Cersei quickly injects her son Joffrey as the new King of the Seven Kingdoms and declares Ned Stark a traitor. King Joffrey orders Ned Stark to be executed and forces Sansa Stark to watch while this happens. All in the meantime, she keeps it in the family and starts a new relationship with her cousin Lancel. Lancel was King Robert’s squire who gave him wine when they went hunting. The wine made him too drunk to kill the boar that gave the King the mortal wound.
She is named Queen Regent while her son, King Joffrey, ruled the Seven Kingdoms. After Joffrey died, she had Tommen become the new King.
