Hunger Games movie is based on books written by Suzanne Collins. Katniss Everdeen is the main character along with her partner Peeta to represent District 12 in the annual Hunger Games.  Katniss’s sister Primrose was actually selected for the games, but Katniss sacrificed herself in her sister’s place.  She’s a really good archer as seen in the first scenes of the movie.  She’s not expected to win in the Games, but she emerges on top with Peeta.  She pretends to eat the poisonous berries with Peeta so there would be no one winner.  She couldn’t kill Peeta.  You can dress up yourself or your kids as Katniss.
